Toledo is a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has had solo exhibitions in the United States and Argentina, and her artwork has also been exhibited in Brazil, Bulgaria, Mexico, and Greece. Toledo has participated in numerous competitions, receiving awards and special recognition for her drawings and sculptures. In the 1990s she lived Texas, where she authored two novels, "La Semilla Elemental" and "Dulce de Leche", published in Argentina and Spain. Additionally, her artwork was used for several book covers. Begininning in 1993, Toledo gave a series of conferences celebrating the diversity of beliefs, languages, traditions, races and lifestyles that she named Pure Diversity: A Quest for Identity. These lectures took place at Barnard College in New York, the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, the University of Maryland at College Park and Texas Woman's University in Denton.
In early 2007, Toledo moved back to Buenos Aires. Her current projects involve a new series of collages, mixed media, poetry and paintings. She is also illustrating a children's book authored by Austin poet Teresa Palomo Acosta. In 2008 she will have several solo exhibitions in Philadelphia.
